چکیده

Interpolation is required in interferometric synthetic aperture radar (SAR) processing for coregistration of complex signals. Straightforward system theoretical considerations provide objective figures of merit for interpolators, such as interferometric decorrelation and phase noise. Theoretical and simulation results are given for nearest neighbor, piecewise linear, fourand six-point cubic convolution, and truncated sinc kernels.

Evaluation of Sentinel-1 Interferometric SAR Coherence efficiency for Land Cover Mapping

In this study, the capabilities of Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) time series data and machine learning have been evaluated for land cover mapping in Iran. In this way, a time series of Sentinel-1 SAR data (including 16 SLC images with approximately 24 days time interval) from 2018 to 2020 were used for a region of Ahvaz County located in Khuzestan province. Using InSAR proces...

Co-registration and complex interpolation

SAR interferometry is a promising and sophisticated technique by which two SAR images of the same scene, acquired from two consecutive passes of the carrying satellite platform, are brought into interference for generating a digital terrain model of the observed surface. Due to the difference in viewing angles and to a non-strict parallelism of the orbits at the times of acquisition, correspond...

Image Coregistration in Sar Interferometry

A critical procedure in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Interferometric (InSAR) processing was studied: SAR image coregistration. Two pairs of ERS-1/2 SAR tandem data, representing diverse terrain types and different baselines, were used in this research. The commonly used traditional SAR image coregistration algorithms were addressed and tested; the computationally intensive algorithms were exa...

Digital terrain modelling for exploration and mining

Models of ground surface elevation, slope, aspect, curvature, roughness, deformation, as well as other features are gathered together in the term Digital Terrain Model (DTM). DTMs can be generated from a wide range of technologies such as ground surveying, aerial and satellite imagery, including both active and passive sensors. Some elevationderived parameters, such as roughness and slope can b...

Determination of the displacement rate of the Masouleh landslide for management of landslide risk by Radar Interferometry

One of the most common natural phenomena occurring in mountainous regions of the world is landslide which causes critical damages and is considered as a natural disaster.  Iran is a country which annually suffers from this disaster and its consequent damage of about 500 billion Rial. Over the last 15 years, an increasing number of researches have aimed to demonstrate the applicability of the im...
